Gujarati Samaj is the largest, service oriented, Indian organization in metro Atlanta in operation since 1980. It has been admired by many other associations for its successful programs, administration, dedicated members and selfless services rendered by the members of the Executive committee and the members of the Board of Governors. Credit for the success goes to the past and present members of the committee and board members.
To bring together persons interested in preserving and promoting Gujarati Culture and Literature of India.
To organize and develop charitable, cultural, religious, scientific and educational activities for the interest of its members.
To foster friendship and understanding among its members and those of other ethnic, national and religious origins.
To provide and secure means from among the members of the organization, and other resources for educational and medical needs of needy and deserving people.
To undertake and promote such other lawful activities as may be deemed necessary, to achieve and in furtherance of these objectives.
The Samaj shall not participate nor intervene in any politics or political campaigns as its purpose is to be a non-political organization
Notwithstanding any other provision of these articles, this corporation shall not carry on any other activities not permitted to be carried on by a corporation exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 or the corresponding provisions of any future United State Internal-l Revenue Law or a corporation's contributions which are deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 or any other corresponding provisions of any future United States Revenue Code.
